After 30 Years Traffic Jam Boutique Moving

Traffic Jam Boutique will soon have more room for its customers to sashay and browse the store’s many aisles of fashionable formal and classy casual clothing and accessories.

From 4-10 p.m. that day, the staff will celebrate with a grand opening party. The first 25 customers will receive complementary door prizes. The party will include appetizers, live entertainment, a champagne toast and a 5 p.m. ribbon cutting.

It’s a true upgrade and expansion for the boutique, one which store manager Mikelle Vargas says they made with their customers in mind. “Thank you to our loyal customers for their patronage,” Vargas said. “We hope you’ll shop at the new location where we can accommodate your needs more efficiently in our larger showroom.”

The new storefront will feature nine spacious fitting rooms, front and back entrances, ample parking and wheelchair access. With a soft beige interior, the well-lit store has impressive chandeliers and an ample amount of breathing room, which Vargas says will showcase their clothing much more appropriately.

Celebrating its 30th year in business, Traffic Jam carries the best of formal and casual fashionable clothing.

The store carries dresses, shoes and accessories for formal events including: prom, homecoming, quinceañera, eighth-grade dance, mothers of the bride and groom, commodore’s balls, the auto show and various black ties. Clothing comes in sizes 000 through 32 for both formal and fashionable casual wear. On the more casual front, Traffic Jam offers tops, slacks, capris, jewelry and other items for a night out or an upgrade to the work-wear wardrobe.

The move to a larger storefront tops off Traffic Jam's celebration of 30 years in business. And it's easy to see how they’ve made it to 30 years with warm and friendly service and thoughtful, customer-focused amenities. A free layaway plan helps customers with a 50 percent down payment and easy biweekly installments.

“It makes it easy for the customer to buy what they really want, without settling,” Vargas said.

Coupled with that, a dress registery guarantees that no one else will wear the same dress at the same event. “It helps avoid a moment of embarrassment,” Vargas said. “No one wants that.”

Traffic Jam Boutique is open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Fridays; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 4 p.m. on Sundays. The business can be reached at 734-285-9029.
