    FRANK’S RESTAURANT & PIZZERIA

    Founded in 1952, Frank’s Restaurant & Pizzeria has been a longtime staple for Wyandotte residents. The family-owned restaurant has been passed down through three generations and is still standing strong. The success of their business has been said to be in their special pizza sauce. At Frank’s, you can dine in or carry-out. This neighborhood favorite has a wide selection of pizza for a great value. The hand tossed Deluxe comes highly recommended.

    Yes, it’s a wine bar, but  Wine Dotte Bistro offers an impeccable Seafood Pizza just in time for Lent. This artisan pizza is loaded with lobster, shrimp, scallops, and artichokes on top of a fresh basil pesto sauce. A light drizzle of balsamic vinegar gives this pizza a full mouth experience. You would never know the crunchy grilled crust is gluten free. Diners are certain to feel special here with a fine dining staff and a classy yet comforatable atmosphere.

    This cozy, locally-owned establishment offers authentic Italian cuisine that includes family recipes from generations long ago. Gregorio’s pizza uses rich flavors and endless topping combinations as a commodity that is renowned within the community. When you walk into Gregorio’s, the friendly staff make you feel like you are one of their own. Although the focus of the menu is on Italian entrees, they have a selection of traditional-styled pies that brings people back for more.

     SPORTSMANS PIZZERIASportsmans Pizza - Wyandotte, MI

    The owner and staff at Sportsmans Pizzeria make you feel like family as soon as you walk into the door. Known for their brick-oven pizza, they pride themselves on their fresh, hand-chopped chef selected toppings. Sportsmans is the home of the Traditional Pan Pizza, a specialty at the venue since 1989. They offer a variety of flavorful pizzas but the most interesting might be the Breakfast Pizza that comes topped with potatoes, eggs and red peppers. Proves that any time is a good time for pizza.

    BROOKLYN’S BAR

    Any way you slice it; Brooklyn’s Bar is a top choice for pizza in Wyandotte. The neighborhood bar setting is a great local joint to snag a bite and a brew. The hand tossed dough is cooked up warm in their ovens while appetizing toppings are sliced and diced to add on top. Drizzled with a light oil and classic tomato sauce, Brooklyn’s traditional pizzas are highly sought after because of the chef’s intricate attention to taste and detail.

    PIZZA KING

    The name of the joint says it all. After relocating from Lincoln Park to Wyandotte, Pizza King will be calling 1231 Fort Street their new home. Although the establishment is part of a chain, their service is one-of-a-kind. Each pizza is handmade, fresh-to-order in their new, state-of-the-art ovens. Each slice, round or square, depending on your preference, is topped with fresh tomato sauce, covered in rich cheeses and baked to perfection. A variety of customized pizzas are available, although the traditional pepperoni is said to be a fan favorite.

    GIZZMOS MARTINI BAR

    Don’t think a martini bar can’t serve up some tasty bites to pair with their special cocktails? Gizzmos makes some killer pizza, too. This downtown establishment is set in a bar-like atmosphere but has a great menu selection including tailor-made pizzas with a slightly-toasted warm crust topped with delicious topping options for everyone -- from your meat to veggie eaters. Described as an “upscale bar,” Gizzmos is a perfect place for a date or a girls night out.

    THE WATERFRONT RESTAURANT & LOUNGE

    Although the Waterfront Restaurant & Lounge opened its doors less than one year ago, the establishment has made quite the statement in the city in a short period of time. The American cuisine styled restaurant serves up some of the best eats in town dock side along the Detroit River. While enjoying your brick-oven style pizza, customers can listen to live music, kick back in their lounge and take in the waterfront views at their outdoor patio. Their traditional pepperoni pizza is a must try.

    SMOKIES RESTAURANTSmokies Pizza - Wyandotte, MI

    Smokies Restaurant offers a casual dining experience with top quality food, service and atmosphere. Although Smokies is widely-known for their outstanding ribs, their selection of gourmet pizzas can’t be beat. Swing into Smokies to check out their pizza menu that includes classics combinations as well as the more adventurous Pulled Pork, Philly Steak, and Smokies Coney Dog pizzas. Chef says the key is in their homemade, premium pizza sauces.

    JJ’S PIZZAJJs Pizza - Wyandotte, MI

    Serving pizza to the community since 1974, JJ’s Pizza on Ford Avenue is a longtime go-to hot spot known for their warm, crisp straight out-of-the-oven customizable pies. From a  personal pan pizza to a jumbo party tray with 24 slices -- JJ’s has it all.  A choice of flavored crust is even offered at no extra charge.  A second pizza can be added on for just a few bucks more. A variety of specialty pizzas are available on their menu including combinations created with taco toppings, cheeseburger and full veggie. Pizza lovers rejoice! There is truly something for everyone at JJ’s.
